Alexis Degrenier and Yann Gourdon have met over the course of several lives, beginning with their student years at the ENM in Villeurbanne, before meeting up again more than ten years later in shared concerts and invitations. The friendship grew into a philosophical relationship, followed by a shared desire to work together. It was by conceptualising time and duration, that Yann and Alexis found a centrepiece for their shared musical desires. Experimenting with this smooth or striped time, this line of tension that duration intersects as much as it weaves together rhizomes to think about. The result is a constrained space, an acoustic saturation of elements that collide and merge, come to life and drift apart.
