Aurélie B. Pertusot is a French artist whose practice moves between visual art, sound performance, and site-specific work. Her artistic work has been presented in solo exhibitions at Studio Rozalia in Gdynia (2025), the Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art in Gdańsk (2023), and the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nancy (2021), among others. Her works have been shown throughout Europe and internationally, including at the Andre Evard Prize, as part of Soundseeing in Schöppingen, at Cave 12 in Geneva, at the Gothenburg Biennale, Ny Musikk in Bergen, Open Mex in Dortmund, and at the Centre Pompidou in Metz and Paris. She has also been represented in Asia, including at the A4 Museum in Chengdu.
Pertusot's composition creates a precise dialogue between movement, sound, and architectural context. It makes the peculiarities of the space tangible and at the same time opens up a sensually extended perception of time.

The performance Singing Megaphone Orchestra unfolds at the intersection of physical presence, sound, and the perception of space and time. In the first part, the artist transforms a megaphone into a field of sonic experimentation. She explores its potential to distort, multiply, and loop sounds. Meanwhile, her body itself becomes an instrument—like a pendulum, she moves through the space, striking various pieces of wood with a hammer to create a slowly pulsating, percussive rhythm. Each sound is recorded live and layered into a gradually densifying acoustic structure. The second part of the performance is characterized by a contemplative, almost floating sound character: continuous sounds, played through small loudspeakers, are moved through the room. The underlying sounds are based on digitally transformed image data—photographs of textures from a vacant lot.
