MALU
20.09. • 18:00 – 19:00 • Westflügel • DJ-Set
Andalusian born multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin who leads a research that explores psychosomatics, experimental sound and physical expression. Malu is an experience designer and community builder, who has worked since 2012 as a curator, designer, radiohost, DJ, instructor and event organiser intertwining sound-art and various forms of body-based therapies. Her sonic practice has been showcased in venues, institutions and festivals such as Berghain Kantine, Fusion Festival, Savvy Contemporary, Seanaps Festival, Instituto Cervantes, Casa Montjuïc, Centro Negra or UT Connewitz, and independent radio stations like Cashmere Radio, Radio Relativa, Radio Alhara, Sphere Radio, Byte FM, Tesla Fm, and Canino Fm. Her sound oscillates between the ritual and the atmospheric, weaving its way amid spoken word and poetry, underwater melodies, temple bells, primitive percussions and insidious harmonies that tell stories as diverse as music itself.
The Nest • a space for integration and collective care
21.09. • 12:00 – 14:00 • Schaubühne Lindenfels • Collective Listening
The Nest invites you to rest, to (day)dream, to soften. Our aim is to create a container that explores and challenges the concept of 'healing' in a health-obsessed society with an urge for 'quick fixes'. A space lightly held by Malu Lopez in collaboration with Grace Farmer, both multidisciplinary artists who lead a research that explores psychosomatics, sound and physical expression.
