LIMITLESS POTENTIAL is a radiophonic composition made through, with, about, in and around artificial intelligence. At a time when when we all function under what Shoshanna Zuboff terms surveillance capitalism, Leidecker and Walshe interrogate how machine listening functions across a spectrum ranging from pitch tracking to humans turning to neural networks for a sense of emotional connection.
The piece navigates the detritus of Silicon Valley’s vision for humanity, from chatbots that will remove the need for us to be polite to strangers to entrepreneurs convinced that music needs to be disrupted for their own economic gain.
