SEARCHING FOR COMMONSWhat is the common point between a forest and the internet? A sea shore and a public light bulb? They fall under the complex and extended definition of common goods or resources. Blockchain technologies might have opened a new path for managing these (im)materials. It also allows local economy approaches to be developed beyond geographical limitations. In this perspective, how can communities (civil, artistic, etc.) be given managing tools over the value they create?Le Leman (Switzerland) will moderate the session and present the recent transition of their local complementary currency upon the Ethereum Blockchain. World-wide, a commons revolution is at work. Any particular progress is a victory for the whole.

BLOCKCHAIN MY ARTIn 2017, SeaNaps created its own system for transparent payments and fair redistribution, using blockchain technologies through the lens of solidarity-based economy. One year later, and after Toulouse and The Hague, it has come back to town, within a new project gathering 6 European festivals, various NGOs and a new blockchain partner: Consensys. Their intent: spreading the solution and its principles across the continent. Come and find out what’s that about while drinking a juice or a beer with us and we will show you what your impact has been, not only on SeaNaps, but also within the economy that surrounds it.
